“WANT VS NEED” is the hypnotic, alluring, and rhythmic new single by Miami-born artist CASANDRA. Opening with a soft, smooth beat, CASANDRA’s ethereal vocals quickly take center stage and set the listener on an exploration of the tensions between desire and conditioning.

The haunting vocals are complemented by atmospheric production, courtesy of CASANDRA’s collaboration with producer Jaye Locke. Through their collaboration, they were able to hone in on intuition's powerful and indomitable nature.

“WANT VS NEED” gives listeners a glimpse into the world of Isla Tranquilita, CASANDRA’S upcoming EP. Set to release on May 15, Isla Tranquilita will dive deeper into themes of transformation, self-expression, and quiet celebration. This single allows listeners to wade in the waters of what is sure to be a deep and intimate project.

The track does an excellent job of conveying feelings of peace through its consistent sound. From beginning to end, the lush instrumental and clean, breathy vocals work together to immerse listeners in CASANDRA’s world. This unperturbed track begins and ends seamlessly, keeping listeners in a loop of cinematic fluid soundscape.

Not only is this track soft and rhythmic, but it is also fearless and self-assured. CASANDRA’s exploration of such an intimate and personal journey of self-reflection is inspiring and allows her to foster a connection with her listeners.

This final release before the forthcoming EP- Isla Tranquilita’s May 15 debut is a marker of a new era defined by imagination and healing for the singer/songwriter.
